Basic structure and composition
The clutch plate is mainly composed of friction material, steel plate and shock-absorbing spring (in some clutch plates with shock-absorbing function). The friction material is the part that directly contacts the flywheel and the pressure plate. It is generally made of organic materials (such as asbestos-based materials, but due to the harmfulness of asbestos, it is gradually replaced by asbestos-free materials), semi-metallic materials or ceramic materials. The steel plate is used as a supporting skeleton. It has high strength and toughness, and can withstand various forces generated during the clutch process to ensure the stability of the shape of the clutch plate. The shock-absorbing spring is used to absorb the torsional vibration between the engine and the transmission system to make the power transmission more stable.

Performance characteristics
1. Wear resistance: Since trucks often need to work under heavy loads, frequent gear shifting and other working conditions, the friction material of the clutch plate needs to have good wear resistance. For example, semi-metallic friction materials contain metal fibers, which makes its wear resistance better than ordinary organic materials, able to withstand higher operating temperatures and pressures, and extend the service life of the clutch plate.
2. Heat resistance: During operation, the clutch plate will generate a lot of heat due to friction. If the heat resistance is not good, the friction material may burn and wear more severely. Ceramic friction materials have excellent heat resistance. They can maintain a stable friction coefficient in a high temperature environment to ensure the reliability of power transmission.
3. Corrosion resistance: The driving environment of trucks is complex and diverse, and they may be exposed to rain, dust, oil and other substances. The clutch plate needs to have a certain degree of corrosion resistance, especially the connection between the friction material and the steel plate, to prevent damage to the clutch plate due to corrosion.
